Take me to your Leda for advice, guidance and encouragement.

Hi Leda, just finished reading The Plan, I am excited. Wondering if I can go the lazy way to knowing what supplements you may suggest to buy, reason being I live in the outback (nearly) and closest health food stores are 5 1/2 hours away. What is your choices? I have been searching on the internet and like a lolly store choices become harder. Thanks...Mary (Bollon, QLD, Australia.)

Hi Mary,
The supplements that really worked for me were
1. Goji - dried berries, juice or tablet. Most Coles and Woolworths sell Goji Berries in the dried fruit section now.
2. Co-enzyme 10 - again, you should be able to pick these tablets up in a supermarket.
3. Olive Leaf extract. This is a really important one as it does so many wonderful things. Some good supermarkets will sell it in the health food section but if you only buy one thing - this is the one to buy!
4. Zinc - can be in tablet form or a big handful of pumpkin seeds.
5. Iron. Most women can do with an iron boost. I take Floradix. You can get that in some chemists and supermarkets but any iron supplement is good - take it with a little orange juice or a Vitamin C tablet to help absorption.
6. Psyllium husks. This is a good boost to a sluggish bowel. Just a teaspoon in water or sprinkled over food. I put some in a protein shake. A lot of people have trouble with this one because it can be harsh on your gut. Optional. I only have this about once a week.
7. Aloe Vera juice. I buy this in Coles or Woolies. It's about $16 a bottle but you only need a capful in the morning. This strengthens your intestines and heals any small ulcers etc. It tastes like absolutely nothing - like air. I give some to my kids too.
8. Fish oil. Really really important. Deficiencies have been linked to depression and other mood problems. I give this to my children as well. Great for the brain and the heart.
Many of these things will be available in supermarkets.
I wish you great success and a new lease on life with the Butterfly Plan. It really got me back on track. I have found an inner balance that I was lacking for so long.
Sending you lots of love and support.

Hey Leda is your purple hair real?
Sheree

Yes. My mother nearly had a stroke when I was born. Of course not silly!

L.

Hi Leda, I've started the Plan and feel that it is really helping me, people keep telling me there is something different about me. What I want to know is would it be a good idea to get my kids on the Butterfly Plan too?

thanks
Abby (Michigan)

Thanks Abby, you go, Girl! Keep Flying.
Re: kids, The Plan is ideal for kids, in fact I'm currently working on The Butterfly Plan for Kids. Don't put too much pressure on them and remember that diet factors are different for children. E-mail me the details of your kids and we can work out their individual needs together.

Purple Power to you!

Leda

Dear Leda

Just letting you know that four of us have formed a group to do the Plan together. We're having a ball...Day 20 and we've dropped 28 pounds between us.

There is power in numbers. Keep up the good work. Support groups are a great way to stay focused.

Leda.

What an inspiration you are. I saw you speak in Santa Monica recently and you blew my mind. I think you are one of Australia's greatest exports. Are you going to write any more books and can I buy your C.D on line?
 Sharyn.

Thankyou Sharyn. I am so glad to hear from someone from Santa Monica. It was such a great place. Thanks for your support. I am almost finished my Butterfly Plan for Kids and hopefully I will have a motivational C.D available from this site very soon. I don't sell my book as a hard copy because I love trees too much.

Do you have a question or a comment for the Purple Guru?
